A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014
Lucas: This kid, man, I can't even describe how happy he makes me. He went into his room the other day and came out sans pants and plus sunglasses riding his scoot bike "to the store."
Avery: There were certainly cuter (or at least happier) portraits of Avery this week, but some days it feels like all she does is crawl around whining. Mostly because I'm following her around, taking things away from her and repositioning her in the direction of toys she doesn't want.

"A photo of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014."

Lucas: Outside helping dad with out parent involvement project for preschool. I'm starting to believe the "terrible twos" are over, these past few weeks he has been so gentle and kind - it has made my heart full to the point of bursting.

Avery: Belly off the floor and really moving now. She's getting all these fun little tricks like waving "hi" and saying "nana" and "dada" and blowing raspberries for attention.

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week in 2014."

Avery: 8 months old and as cliche as it sounds, I really don't know where the time has gone. She started crawling this week and I'm realizing just how soon her sweet babyhood will be over.

Lucas: While the rest of the country seemed to be buried in snow and below freezing temperatures, we've been out in the sunshine pretending to barbeque.

A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014

Lucas: Winding down from a fun day at preschool watching that ridiculous "what does the fox say" video. His preschool director commented today on how he is such a sweet soul. He is. He most certainly is.
Avery: Constantly looking for the next thing to do. I almost wish she would start crawling so she would stop whining over not being able to get where she wants to go. I'll eat those words soon, I know.

I'm joining in on The 52 Project this year from Practising Simplicity. I'm cutting it close, but this still counts as the first week of the year.
